A temazcal is a structure of Mesoamerican origin traditionally used for therapeutic and ceremonial purposes. It consists of a type of sauna or steam bath, usually made of stone or adobe where allows you to connect with nature and the four elements (earth, air, fire, and water) to achieve harmony with the environment.

Ancient Ritual
The Temazcal is a shamanic ritual that has existed for over a thousand years and was practiced by different indigenous civilizations of Mesoamerica and North America, including the Aztecs, Toltecs, and Mayans.
The Aztec "House of Heat"
The word *temazcal* comes from the Nahuatl term temázcalli, which means “house of heat” in the ancient language of the Aztecs.
Ritualistic Ceremony
In Mesoamerica, the temazcal had both a healing and a ritualistic purpose. It was a ceremony that could take place before or after battles, with the aim of purifying the soul and healing the body.
