The Secretary of Tourism of Baja California Sur presented "H" badge (Hygiene, Confidence and Safety in Food Handling) on Wednesday, June 20th to the Mexico Grand Hotels group who manages and operates 3 Developments in Los Cabos, BCS. Adding a total of 38 distinctive to the various restaurants and bars that have this prestigious resort group that were held and met the standards of hygiene that marks the Mexican Standard NMX-F605 NORMEX 2015.
The "H" program is 100% PREVENTIVE, which ensures the warning of a contamination that could cause a foodborne illness; This program includes a training program for 80% of the operational staff and 100% of the middle and upper management personnel, this training is guided by a registered consultant with a profile in the chemical-medical-biological area, and the knowledge imparted they are structured under guidelines dictated by a group of experts in the field.
The establishments that received their "H" badge were the following:
- 19 Distinctive "H" to Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa
- 19 Distinctive "H" to Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences
It is worth mentioning that these Developments are renewing the Distinctive H which were obtained for the first time in 2014.
To present this badge, were present at the Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences, Mr. Luis Humberto Araiza Lopez, Secretary of Tourism of Baja California Sur; Mr. Jesus Serafin Ochoa, representative of SECTUR in the Municipality of Los Cabos; Mr. Alejandro Macías D., Vice President of Mexico Grand Hotels, Mr. Javier Flores L., Operations Director of Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa; Mr. Gerardo Martínez S., Operations Director of Hacienda Resort & Residences; Mr. Pablo Lombardo, Gte. Food and Beverages Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa and Mr. Gabriel Chavelas, Gte. Food and Beverages from Hacienda Resort & Residences, among other collaborators who received the badges on behalf of the different establishments.
When the establishment is subject to these standards and complies with them, the Ministry of Tourism gives "H" badge recognition, which is valid for one year.
