Thanksgiving is one of the most important celebrations in the United States; it is also one of the most significant. This day is celebrated the fourth Thursday of November, since Abraham Lincoln proclaimed it in 1863 in order to commemorate the first harvest of the pilgrims in 1621.
This day is about being grateful for everything you have, the generosity of nature and even to thank the gods for all their blessings. The dinner always begins with a traditional grace, and then becomes jovial when food, drinks and stories pass around the table.
Hacienda Encantada joined this celebration with a buffet dinner for the whole family. The menu of that evening was very traditional, adorned with an extensive variety of salads, very traditional strong dishes such as turkey, and to close with a pinch of gold, a bar of delicious desserts.
Decorating the evening with beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez, families enjoyed the exquisite menu that our chef prepared especially thinking about the celebration of our American neighbors. Laughter and jokes were not lacking during the event that was a success.
Thank you to all who attended the celebration and thank you for allowing us to be part of this beautiful tradition putting a little of our Mexican touch.
