The renowned Argentinian wine-maker, Matias Michelini, presented his new wines in "Los Riscos" Restaurant

Last Friday, June 2nd, a 5-course dinner was held with the renowned Argentinian wine-maker, Matias Michelini, for the purpose of presenting his latest creations; Hacienda Encantada offered this dinner in its restaurant Los Riscos, where a delicious 5-course dinning experience was served in which the wonderful new Michelini’s wines were tasted. Chef Javier Pérez marveled at the excellent seasoning and immense creativity contained in each of his dishes.

 

At the beginning of the dinner, a sip of San Matías tequila was served as an appetizer for the guests. The first course consisted of scallops wrapped in slices of prosciutto with a side of grapefruits slices and other citrus, baby organic lettuce and honey mustard dressing; to accompany this wonderful first time was served a bonarda-petite verdot called “Vinilo”. Then came the second course where a malbec-pinot noir called "Ji Ji Ji" was accompanied by tomato cream with albahaca crunchy cracker and side of croton of focaccia, and goat cheese.

 
The third course was a sorbette that consisted of a glass of delicious lemon ice cream, which had the function of cleaning the palate so that the guests could continue enjoying the wonderful dinner that Chef Pérez had prepared. The evening continued with the fourth course or strong saucer that was a special Argentinian BBQ, prime rib, lamb ribs and Chistorra, whit beet puree, organic veggies and echalote, glazed in red wine; Accompanied by an exquisite malbec-cabernet sauvignon-bonarda labeled "Montesco". And closing with a touch of gold, Chef Javier prepared a delicious Crème Brule pie with Milton cream and blueberry jam, accompanied by a San Matías Tequila "Ultra Aged".

 

It should be noted that the menu was created by Chef Javier and sommelier Christopher Villanueva, with the support of the Food and Beverage Manager, Gabriel Chavelas. The evening was a success; the guests enjoyed a wonderful evening adorned with the beautiful and unique sunset of the Sea of ​​Cortez. All the good comments about Matias Michelini's delicious new wines and exquisite Chef Javier’s dinner could be appreciated.
